How I Approach Your Blood Results
Most blood panels only test a handful of markers, and even then, GPs are comparing you against a “normal” range built for the average unwell person, not a thriving one. I run a broader panel that picks up the biomarkers that get missed in a standard GP or consultant review, the ones that often explain symptoms long before they show up as a diagnosis.
But running the test is the easy part. I don’t interpret a result in isolation. Before I tell you what a marker means, I look at your full case: your symptoms, your history, your other test results, your lifestyle. The same number can mean something different in two different people, and treating it like a checklist is how problems get missed twice.
From there, you get a clear next step, not just a printout. Sometimes that’s further testing to confirm what we’re seeing. Sometimes it’s a targeted nutrition, lifestyle or supplementation plan you can start straight away. And if anything in your results needs medical attention, I write directly to your GP to flag it, so you’re not left trying to explain bloodwork to a doctor yourself, or worse, having it dismissed again.
This is the difference between being told you’re “fine” and actually understanding what your body is telling you.
All clients are provided with an OptimalDx and full written functional blood analysis report for each set of new blood test results.
