There's more you can do for PCOS than the pill

Maybe you were diagnosed years ago and handed the pill. Maybe you’re struggling with irregular periods, acne, hair changes or weight that won’t budge, and you’re trying to conceive.

PCOS isn’t one condition with one fix. It has different drivers in different women: blood sugar and insulin, high androgens, inflammation, stress hormones, or a mix. That’s why generic advice works for some and not for others.

I find out what’s driving your PCOS, then build a plan around it, with food you can actually live with.

The drivers I look for

Understanding your PCOS

  • Insulin resistance. The most common driver. High insulin pushes the ovaries to make more testosterone.
  • Inflammation. Ongoing low-grade inflammation can drive androgens and symptoms.
  • Adrenal stress. Some women’s androgens come mainly from the stress response.
  • Gut health. Dysbiosis affects blood sugar, inflammation and hormone clearance.
  • Thyroid and nutrients. Low vitamin D, magnesium, zinc and inositol status are common.
  • Coming off the pill. Some women develop temporary PCOS-like symptoms afterwards.

Knowing which of these applies to you changes the plan completely.

Investigate, test, plan

How I work with you

We build a picture of your hormones, metabolism and lifestyle before deciding what to change.

  1. Investigate. Cycle, symptoms, history, diet and stress.
  2. Test where it helps. Functional blood analysis for insulin, androgens and thyroid, DUTCH hormone testing, and DNA testing for hormones and metabolism.
  3. Plan. Blood sugar balancing meals, targeted supplements, movement and stress support.
  4. Support. We track your cycle, skin and energy and adjust as you go.

Your questions answered

PCOS FAQs

Can PCOS be cured? + −

PCOS is a lifelong tendency, but symptoms can improve dramatically, and many women get regular cycles back and conceive naturally once the drivers are addressed.

Do I have to cut out carbs? + −

No. Most women do best with balanced meals built around protein, fibre and healthy fats, with slow carbohydrates rather than none at all.

Can you help me get pregnant with PCOS? + −

Supporting ovulation and egg quality is a big part of my PCOS work. I can also work alongside your fertility clinic.

Which DNA tests help with PCOS? + −

The Hormones and Metabolics panels work well together, showing how you handle androgens, oestrogen, blood sugar and appetite.

Do you work with clients outside the UK? + −

Yes. All consultations are online and I work with clients around the world. Most of the tests I use can be shipped internationally.

Will I need functional testing? + −

Not always. Testing is optional, and I only recommend tests that will change what we do. We decide together on your strategy call.
