Mind
Functional nutrition for anxiety, low mood and burnout

Support your mind through your body

You’re anxious for no clear reason, low when life seems fine, or running on empty after years of pushing through. Talking therapies may help, but something still feels off physically.

Your brain is an organ, and it depends on what your body gives it. Blood sugar, nutrients, gut bacteria, inflammation, hormones and sleep all shape how you feel, think and cope.

I work alongside your doctor, therapist or counsellor, supporting the physical side of mental health so you have more resilience to draw on.

What clients come to me with

Who I work with

  • Anxiety, overthinking or feeling constantly on edge

  • Burnout and feeling wired but tired
  • Mood that shifts with your cycle, including PMDD
  • Brain fog and poor concentration

  • Wanting support alongside medication or therapy

The root causes I look for

The body side of mental health

  • The gut-brain connection. Most serotonin is made in the gut, and gut bacteria influence mood and anxiety.
  • Blood sugar. Dips trigger adrenaline, which can feel exactly like anxiety.
  • Nutrients. Omega-3, B vitamins, iron, zinc, magnesium and vitamin D are essential for brain chemistry.
  • Inflammation, which can lower mood and motivation.
  • Hormones, including thyroid, sex hormones and cortisol.
  • Sleep, which affects everything else.
  • Your genes, which influence how you make and clear serotonin, dopamine and GABA.

Investigate, test, plan

How I work with you

We look at the physical factors that affect how you feel, at a pace that suits you.

  1. Investigate. Your symptoms, history, gut health, diet, sleep and stress.
  2. Test where it helps. Functional blood analysis, a Nervous System DNA test, DUTCH hormone testing or a stool test.
  3. Plan. Brain-supportive nutrition, blood sugar balance, targeted supplements and gentle lifestyle changes.
  4. Support. Regular check-ins, working alongside your other care.

Your questions answered

Mental health FAQs

Can nutrition replace therapy or medication? + −

No. Nutrition works alongside your other care. Please don’t stop or change medication without speaking to your doctor.

Is it safe to take supplements with antidepressants? + −

Some supplements interact with mental health medication, so I check every recommendation against what you take and can liaise with your doctor.

What if I'm in crisis? + −

If you’re struggling to keep yourself safe, please contact your doctor, a local crisis line or emergency services straight away. Nutrition support is for ongoing wellbeing, not emergencies.

Do you work with clients outside the UK? + −

Yes. All consultations are online and I work with clients around the world. Most of the tests I use can be shipped internationally.

Will I need functional testing? + −

Not always. Testing is optional, and I only recommend tests that will change what we do. We decide together on your strategy call.
