Functional nutrition for chronic fatigue

Find out why you're so tired, and get your energy back

You wake up tired. By mid-afternoon you’re running on caffeine and willpower, and by evening there’s nothing left. Your blood tests came back normal, so you’ve been told you’re fine. You don’t feel fine.

Fatigue is one of the most common reasons people come to me, and it’s rarely one thing. It’s usually several small issues stacking up: nutrients, blood sugar, thyroid, stress hormones, gut health, inflammation, and how well your cells make energy.

I investigate each of those layers, find what’s draining you, and build a plan to rebuild your energy step by step.

The root causes I look for

What's often behind fatigue

  • Nutrient deficiencies such as iron, B12, folate, vitamin D and magnesium, often missed when results are just inside the normal range
  • Blood sugar swings that cause energy dips and cravings
  • Thyroid function that isn’t optimal
  • Stress hormones and a disrupted daily cortisol rhythm
  • Gut issues affecting absorption and inflammation
  • Mitochondrial function, how efficiently your cells produce energy
  • Methylation, which affects energy, detox and neurotransmitters
  • Post-viral fatigue and lingering inflammation

Investigate, test, plan

How I work with you

Fatigue needs detective work, so we start with your full story.

  1. Investigate. When it started, what makes it better or worse, sleep, stress, diet and history.
  2. Test where it helps. Functional blood analysis, DNA testing for methylation and metabolism, DUTCH cortisol testing or a stool test.
  3. Plan. Food, targeted supplements and a pacing approach that rebuilds energy without crashes.
  4. Support. We adjust as your energy improves.

Your questions answered

Chronic fatigue FAQs

My blood tests are normal. Can you still help? + −

Yes. Standard ranges are wide, and results at the edge of normal can still cause symptoms. I interpret your results using functional ranges and look at patterns across markers.

Do you work with ME/CFS? + −

Yes, alongside your medical care. I focus on gentle, sustainable support for energy, nutrients, gut health and inflammation, and on pacing so we avoid crashes.

Can you help with post-viral fatigue? + −

Yes. Many of my fatigue clients noticed their energy change after a virus. We look at inflammation, nutrient status, the nervous system and gut health.

When should I see a doctor? + −

Please see your GP if your fatigue comes with unexplained weight loss, fevers, night sweats, breathlessness or chest pain, so these can be checked first.

Do you work with clients outside the UK? + −

Yes. All consultations are online and I work with clients around the world. Most of the tests I use can be shipped internationally.

Will I need functional testing? + −

Not always. Testing is optional, and I only recommend tests that will change what we do. We decide together on your strategy call.
